Dusk emerged from the dimensions of our first armchair, Gomito. During the making of Gomito, we learned through trial and error how leather behaves. After Gomito, we felt the urge to use leather’s properties in a different way.
A new armchair was born in which a simple cut and a curved line in the leather define the object.
What fascinated us was how the simple act of making a cut can give such a structural impact in an object.
The tension between stabilizing and simultaneously destabilizing the leather is a consequense of this incision.

The cut in the leather allows an armrest to emerge from the backrest and the curved shape of the back ensures that the leather has enough tension to support your back.
